The babies sure enjoy their camera men! Was that ants you just looked at? The camera showed a nearby tree with big ants running up and down it's trunk and branches. I assume it was nearby, maybe the one next to your hut. Some guys making a house, used 2 thin strips of bamboo. They then folded the palm leaves to where they were pointed and the placed the pointed part through the 2 pieces of bamboo, moving one piece of bamboo over the other, alternating with each palm leaf. It made quick work of ppl utting them up to rest on the strips that you would normally add one at a time. They tied off the ends of the bamboo strips and then wired to the onees on the roof on the ends and some between. Msde quick and sturdy work in which the palm fronds are less likely to blow loose. That wall is a good one for the fire, but I think I'd block that part with a couple bamboo logs by the bed to block any rain or unwanted slithery things from coming in onto the bed.
