Thank you for that. A lovely little heart felt story. Such a relief and refreshing change from a lot of the rubbish that comes up. A very natural and believable story, no violence, no abuse, no kidnappings, no face slapping, no stabbings. The cultural elements adds to the interest and showing a more gentler side of the people is a big plus, loved old grandpa, really felt his pain as he tried to carry on with his puppet play and not let his emotions get the better of him as he knew they were taking the boy away, also felt his loneliness, when he was on his own again. More of these quality stories please. 👍👍👏👏👏

Very typically Old chinese type! a really quite "skeptical judging" towards all kind of foreigners... But human is human, no matter wherever they're living! Heartfelt and emotions count and then play a big role...

Such a shame the grandfather feels he has to try and conceal the child's ethnicity, even to the point of dyeing his hair black to make him fit in. But if he didn't he would become a focal point for others.

Couldn't they find any American actors to play the role, neither the mother or son have American accents, why not say they come from somewhere else, why did it have to be America?

Correct, Europe would have been more believable! Though the by could pass, the Mom’s accent is much stronger:)
