I feel the same way!! Totally!! Not sure what exactly led him to add too much stuff to his newer music, like just too many details to make a song "perfect" in his view I think, but the older songs like these are just damn amazing. Not saying the new ones aren't bc I still hella love them but the old ones DO have that special sth the newer ones don't have anymore in a way

Based on what Joe has said in his live streams, most of these songs are him practicing or stuff that was never meant to be released. Joe appears to not like the original Nothing, Nowhere. LP style he used to have and is moving on from it. He has said that from time to time, he will release music that has his old form (that's why cherry red exists), but that he is making music for himself. Joe has changed and isn't afraid to state that now and while he does still want to help people with his music, he also wants to be himself. That's why I think he no longer releases songs like "Whiteout," "Wooden Home," or "Giles Corey." If you want to know more, go watch his streams.
