Yea here in the US it's hot. Too hot 😂 I heard there was some snow in SA recently. Did you see any of it?

We can see the snow on the mountains from our house when it does snow there, but we haven't visited any place this year with snow, so we haven't been in the snow this year, but yes, we've had snow a couple of time since May. It sometimes also snows in August around the mountains, but the season is definitely changing

5:02 Just because they're friendly aircraft doesn't mean the soldiers on the ground are safe from air attack. At most, the only thing a pilot can see from the air is movement on the ground, he won't be able to distinguish if it's friendly or enemy troops. And No Man's Land is a "free-fire zone" which means any target can be attacked at the discretion of the pilot. During WWII in North Africa, there were so many attacks by friendly aircraft on US ground forces that the American commander authorized his army to fire on any aircraft that looked like they were going to attack. Regardless, if the aircraft were German, American, or British, the US ground forces could shoot them down if the aircraft were a threat to friendly units. And despite all the modern technology, attacks on ground units by friendly aircraft is still a problem today.

@@unwindreactions6223 Sorry about the extra serving of military trivia, Lezy. The scene of them hiding in the crater from the planes and your reaction to it was just too tempting for me to refrain from "mansplaining" the significance of it. 😊 I'll try to do better in the future. 🤗

@@unwindreactions6223 15:24 Well, my dear friend, since I'm not wearing out your patience with my military trivia, I'm going to answer one more of your questions. 😊 The standard amount of ammo that the British infantry soldier carried in WW1 was 150 rounds (4kg) of caliber .303 British. It was a lot of heavy ammo in comparison to the standard 210 rounds (2.5kg) of caliber 5.56 NATO that an infantryman will carry today in seven fully loaded 30-round magazines. So, my friend, I hope that answers your question about how much ammo Schofield was probably carrying when he was in the shootout with the German sniper. 😊👍 But kudos to you for asking some very good, detailed questions. 👍👍👍

Without sounding stupid other than English what language do most South Africans speak? Does South Africa have its own language? Great reaction btw
@unwindreactions6223
@unwindreactions6223 Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much,glad you enjoyed it 🤗 We have 11 official languages, of which English is one. Most South Africans can speak English if English is not their First Language and depending on their culture, would obviously speak their own language. A lot of South Africans can speak three to four languages, which would include English,Afrikaans,their own language and another of the other 11 languages. Afrikaans is the third most spoken language in South Africa, with Zulu being the first and English being the fourth. I am Afrikaans, so that is my First Language and I cannot speak any of the other remaining 11 languages, but I do understand a tiny bit of South Sotho, but not enough to follow full conversations.
