This man asked better questions in the first two minutes of this interview than I have seen in ALL the other interviews combined, with the exception of Ali Plumb.

What a great interview with very thoughtful questions! Well done. I have to say 1917 is the movie of the year in my list I gotta say 👌🏾

One of the most underrated directors ever. His films, other then “American beauty”, have been overlooked

He's directed 2 James Bond-movies. "Overlooked" isn't really the right word to use

Nicolai Haugsted bad take IMO. Jarhead, Away we go, revolutionary road, all great movies with little critic or audience recognition

I think Sam meant to say 'Cool Hand Luke' not 'Hud'. Hud was shot (extremely well) by James Wong Howe. Absolutely terrific film for those who haven't seen it. As is, of course, Cool Hand Luke (shot by the legendary Conrad Hall). Road to Perdition ranks among my favorite films of all time. I've always viewed Road to Perdition as 'folks who are the BEST at what they do, giving it everything they've got'. I felt very much the same after seeing '1917'. Tremendous talent at work in both films.

I wonder why Sam only wrote it as a two hour movie instead of three
@masterking14274 жыл бұрын
Because it would be boring I guess. They designed this movie as one long shot, so we couldn't expect there will be war scene from different angles/perspectives.
