I honestly LOVE how it turned out and the way you make leather look like it's naturally aged.. AMAZING. Now I'm inspired to get back to the MANY kits I have. I have a 1/16 Lincoln HEEP in around the same time frame as this one I bought on evilBay many years ago. A lot of fixing before build. Old kit too. 1928 Dietrich by Entex. Was a built mess, no box or instruction sheet.

Looks good. On my cellphone it looks like a cream colored body, and a Light brown fenders. My take on the difference between burgandy, and maroon is that the maroon is the darker of the two. Your color combination really Pops!
@kevinwooldridge82612 жыл бұрын
Outstanding Mathew! You are spot on with colors... In that era it was pretty common for a stark contrast between the car and the wheels. Oftentimes there was a pinstripe(s) on the main body accent line to match the wheel color. Excellent work brother and best to you and yours🤙✌

That little door is for your golf bag and those little "handles" above the rumble seat are actually there to keep the soft top from rubbing on the body.

What a wonderful build Matthew! Outstanding job on a fairly fussy kit. I really like your color choices, as most had black fenders and kinda bland body colors. Nicest build of a Gangbusters kit I have seen. That luggage rack isn't really meant to be moveable, let alone glued properly is tricky. Making the steering move by the wheel is really tough. You should have thrown the golf clubs and bag through the small door?? LOL!. Keep up the good work! ( Beth and I rode in rumble seat in model A roadster,,,WEIRD!!)

Why would you spray the claret wine paint into a cup then pour that into your airbrush and paint the wheels? Why not just paint them from the spray can or did you add something to the paint?

Sprays too heavy. I can control it with the airbrush

That looks fantastic, Matt! The wheel color was an excellent choice! As a kid, our family car was a 1967 Chevy Impala wagon with a third bench seat we referred to as the "rumble seat". It faced rearward, so you were always looking out the rear window. When rolled down you got a good dose of exhaust fumes and carbon dioxide. It's amazing we survived!

I'm doing a 1932 3-Window coupe and I might want to use a similar color for the roof?
