Lovely! You really nailed her look. I think this would be very easy to adapt for day time wear with a less harsh brow highlight and a more subtle crease color (while still keeping the cut crease) and perhaps without the false lashes. I will try it! :)

Highly artistic charming and entertaining- thanks a lot! But I would have loved to see an additional step by step tutorial in full cover and normal Speed along with a list of products. Any chances to produce these soon? 💫🌟🍀

... P.S. another thing to use for the eybrows, to keep 'em "flat" is plain soap. Not liquid though. On a eyebrow brush for example. :)

Wonderful…what is a glue concealer?
@LisaFreemontStreet3 ай бұрын
@@carlashibayama1614 it’s where you use glue to conceal your brows. A layer of glue, allow to dry, then put concealer over.

Hmmm, I don't think I have ever seen Grace Kelly wear her hair QUITE this severe...but she did like to slick it back at times. THis hairstyle is modeled after the photo of Garbo at the end. I'm not a fan of it. haha. I'm doing Grace Kelly next week!

I think the look is severe in that the makeup and hairstyling actually plays up to her sharpened features and exaggerates them instead of softens them. Even in Europe , women were accustomed to appearing soft and feminine...the thirties were breaking away from the boyish body shapes and cropped hairstyles of the 20's. So Garbo was a novelty of sorts.

@LisaFreemontStreet But we still haven't quite gotten to the point that they did. So it's easy to say that they had a more dream factory outlook, but who knows what we will be saying if the economy takes more of a nose dive. Remember at this time pulp fiction was huge, because of this as well.
@TVwriter2314 жыл бұрын
@LisaFreemontStreet Plus people have to remember that movies were in black and white. Also when talkies came back it set filmmaking back a couple of decades. You also have to take into account that Hollywood deliberately created a dream factory, because of the atmosphere most Americans were experiencing at the time. It's easy to talk now, because we don't have the type of class system they had pre ww I and II and the great depression. Yes we had a crass similar to 1929

As a makeup artist myself, the Garbo look was not severe. Her makeup was much softer. Way too many applications of concealer in this video looks thick and plastic

Garbo?! She rather reminds me of a scared rabbit. Even the music choice is wrong.

I'm sorry this (very old) video has disappointed you 😂...I too find fault with it and only leave it up because this channel has been a video journal for me over the years and I enjoy seeing my progress over time. As to the music being wrong, I used what I had available during the tighter copyright era on KZbin and satisfied myself with simply using music from the 30's, which this is.
