My old (very old) vintage 1937 Voigtlander Bessa medium format film camera. This camera is 84 years old and still working like it did in the 1930’s! This amazing old camera is sporting an awesome medium format lens, the Voigtlander 105mm or 10.5cm Skopar f/3.5 lens.
They do not make cameras like this anymore! This is another camera that will be featured in my Film Photography Friday playlist. its a beauty!

Hello! I found one today! Same except camera. But it only bought my eye while uranium glass hunting, does your cameras lenses by chance glow a bright green under a black light like mine?

That camera is totally cool Jimmy! I've never seen a medium format that pops out like that, pretty amazing how they engineered the camera back some 80+ yrs ago. I would think that camera would be a collectors item. Agree that lens at F3.5, that was pretty fast back in the day! I have an old Canon rangefinder fitted with a Nikon lens that my Dad brought home from Japan after the war, unfortunately my older brother took it apart and it was never the same after that...a few yrs ago I sent it to a camera repair shop in San Diego, and they couldn't find parts to rebuild it. It's amazing that they still make film for your camera, I think though, "film" cameras are making a niche (or more likely a big, not a niche) comeback, which is really great! I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures taken with that camera.

Hi Steve. Too bad that Canon rangefinder is not working, those are very collectible. I love shooting film, I don't know what it is but there's something about it 👍🍻

I've just bought one in absolutely mint condition and fell in love straight away. Bit different from anything else i've played with (Lubitel, yashica EM etc) so having come across your 7:03 seconds of excellence regarding how to use it, i'm now ready to stuff film in it and go shoot some pix. The mask and 6x4.5 set-up is bloody confusing and i'm guessing a whole bunch of 'fails' but thats the fun. Many thanx for uping the vid. VERY informative and concise (BIG thumbs up)

Good video on a very interesting camera. I shot with a Fuji 6x9 for a few months and loved the experience. Definitely need a permanent 6x9 in my setup. Would love to see the images you’ve taken with this camera.

Thanks for the comment Kenneth. The Fuji 6x9 is awesome! Such a different way of taking pictures compared to cranking out hundreds of shots in digital. Both are fun though 😁

Hello! thank goodness for you tubers 🤣 It's my husband and my anniversary and he gifted me this camera!! It was his Grandfathers, military issued, in 1950 when he was stationed in Germany... it's in good condition but could use some repair?? Any thoughts on where to maybe send it? I also cannot get the back open... I'll be looking to track down some film for her soon! I'm just so excited to have it in my hands... it's a treasure 🖤🖤🖤
