Just got the tabs for this one, and a couple others from you, this one, with it's nice relaxing pace seems like a great one to start with, even the reverse slant is approachable. I've got years playing steel but never really got comfortable with the high bass tuning. Thanks for making some good instructional material available to us, we don't all wanna learn bluegrass 😉

Where can I find real Hawaiian music? I listened to some Hoopi, and it was beautiful but it sounded like typical American music. The song was "Honolulu girl" that was written in 1909 by Cunha (who was from Honolulu), but to my ears sounds typical of the era.

Hey John, Sol Hoopii is the real deal but his career was mainly happening on the mainland so he played a lot of common songs of that time in his hawaiian way, it is great stuff. If you are looking for very pure sounding hawaiian steel guitar music check out M.K. Moke and the Kalama Quartet for example. Hope that helps !

Glad you like it, Andres. for A Hibass I use 16/18/22 (all plain) and 30/39/47 (wound). I order the plains as single strings (rather cheap) and use the the lowest basstrings from this set: Daddario EFT 15 www.daddario.com/products/guitar/acoustic-guitar/flat-tops-phosphor-bronze/eft15-phosphor-bronze-flat-tops-extra-light-10-47/
