How British is this... The elderly Lady who lived near us in rural Scotland had a Nash that she had raced back in the 30's and 40's then used for hill climbs etc faded green still with the number circles on the sides one front on the bonnet/hood the other on the opposite side rear. This was in the mid 70's and when I used the term lady, I really mean Lady, she also had her Rolls Royce expedition vehicle she and her husband drove from Shanghai back to the UK for their honeymoon in the 1930's. She had a small stable of "memory" cars as well as a Healey 3000 she'd raced in the 60's! As a young lad I used to help around her house in return for getting to drive one of her children's old hand built or rather crafted ⅓rd? Sized cars MGTF type and an off road 1930's type made from a cut up Austin 7 or similar if I remember correctly on the extensive grounds...happy memories. Thanks for keeping one of these great little cars where it belongs...on show so people can see it but mainly out on the road! Peace Charlie 🇬🇧

My uncle owned one of these in the late 1940s and I have a picture on my wall of him in the car, and a smaller one inset with me behind the wheel. The panel is identical with the funny instrument lights on stalks and all the gauges. The car had a Meadows engine and he used to race it in South Africa. He would drag me around with him to visit his other racing friends. The neighbour had a Riley MPH about the same age. It must get into your blood because I still drive a 1960 MGA that my dad bought new. Beautiful rebuild.

She is beautiful Mr. Leno! I have my first car (1965 Mustang) and wish I had the money to bring it to the current resto-mod era. My daughter doesn't want to know much about old cars. If we had a few minutes with her, we, together could impress her, (and maybe a few of her class mates,) That the old technology needs to be remembered. ( I have dad's 1982 Harley we changed over to points ignition.) My Great grand father was a blacksmith and owned a steam thrasher, My Grand father ran the Steam engine and was a Dodge Brothers dealership and later a Ford Tractor mechanic. My father was a mechanic and Managed the Parts and service department of a dealership before buying his own Aftermarket parts store. I worked with my dad and mom for several years before they offered me a partnership in the store... We sold the store and I did what my Post Graduate degree was in. I still love working on 1990 and pre-car's but realize we have to embrace new technologies.
