The vocal group in this clip is what would later become The Modernaires, with leader Hal Dickinson visible at far left when they're all sitting together. This would have been 5 years before they appeared with Glenn Miller's band in 'Sun Valley Serenade', although at least one of the members had changed by then. 'You Hit The Spot' and 'Where Am I' both came out in late 1935, so this was likely filmed very early the following year, right around the time that Dickinson and the group made their first recordings with the Mound City Blue Blowers and Red Norvo's Swing Sextet.
