Nice truck! I just picked up a 1936 international C30. 2nd gear was making noise, tore into it and found that 2nd gear has a broken took and really worn out. Would you have a good source for new gears?? Thanks in advance

I think the same 4 speed box was used in the C30, D30, K5 and KB5. So that's from 1934 till 1949. Look for a K or KB5 box. Should be easy to find.

Hello, seems I can only get my c-30 up to about 40 mph before it feels like a governor kicks in on the motor. Do you have the same?

Never seen a governor on one of these flat heads. What is your diff ratio?

Not sure of the diff ratio, I looked in my manual and it does say these motors have a governor and is set by the factory.

When I hit 35-40 the motor just flattens out, not sure of the rpm I’m guessing around 2200. Will be adding a tach soon. What brand tach do you have?

These old trucks are not designed to go fast. I would not be taking the engine past 2000 rpm.

I was just guessing it could be right at 2000 RPM. I need to put a tach gauge on it. How fast does yours go in 4th gear?

My ancestors had a gravel bank in albany ny 1930s had six international dumptrucks like this 4 to 5 yard boxes

I can site on 50mph with the engine turning at 2250rpm.

Its a 4 speed but I also have a 3 speed aux gearbox behind the main. The diff is 2 speed with 5.14 and 7.25
