Some stuff was recycled back then. It’s just that Hollywood cared more for satisfying the audience, since this was during The Great Depression. I never knew about this obscure short film until this was posted on YT. But for what it’s worth, it has a young Lucille Ball, a competent Billy Gilbert (who worked with Laurel & Hardy) and Bud Jamison, best known for his work with The Three Stooges. A good deal of talent in a seemingly harmless but average short film.
