1937 Ford Resurrection: V8-60 Touring Sedan Part 1- Water Pumps

"Tin Side" which is actually Stainless Steel (check it with a magnet) was because of Core Shift during casting. They were getting 1 out of 20 usable blocks so they casted them without sides to prevent core shift. The 35-36 EXPORT ONLY 60hp is also "Tin Side" (looks nothing like the 60 we know. Water Pumps are in the heads and it has 2 exhaust ports per side) Early 37 water pumps do not use a rubber cap. There is NO barb to hold it on. Taper Pumps are 37-38. Square Pumps are 39-40. Front Covers will swap to any year with correct pumps.

I've lost spark on my 39 Ford Standard Tudor Sedan what voltage you have at the coil I'm getting weird readings on mine

Should have 6 volts at coil.

I don't. Ford used at least 4 different water pumps on the V8-60 from 1937-1940. The early ones were a tapered thread. The later ones were straight, but have no idea what the thread pitch is.
