Not sure what happened! It should be airing in English now! KZbin has added some features that I am not used to yet! Try watching again if it was not in English before! This isn't an exact science. ~. Jamie

I was lead engineer in a test lab for 20 years. We had to have a 3x3 foot caution tape “keep clear” square on the floor in front of any fuse/breaker box. The reason is that you have to be able to get at it in an emergency and have room to jump back if you get shocked.

"Rumble," the movie is fantastic! It opened my mind to the indigenous influence upon the root elements of Rock music. "Rumble," the instrumental classic by Link Wray and the Wray Boys, is a progenitor of the rebellious attitude of Rock and Roll. Entirely instrumental, it became an irritant to grown ups through tonality alone; no lyrics needed. It was banned from the public airwaves for upsetting the cultural sensibilities of polite society. Wray's minimalist guitar work over that pounding drum beat produced a definitive heavy groove. Wray introduced cool to Rock and Roll the way Miles introduced cool to Jazz.

Whirlybird used to be slang for helicopter. There was a popular late '50s TV series "The Whirlybirds". Maybe was applied to the vent fan at the time.
@chrisallen2005Ай бұрын
I remember those being called whirlygigs.

Victor talks about "his guys". Does he have a dedicated crew that works solely for him to do the finish work or does he work with a shop that takes on other work as well? Sending this from our vacation on Kona. Having a great time and I hope you did or will if it is upcoming. Thanks for your fascinating work.

Whirly bird vents are so named because when spinning they kind of look like helicopter blades, ergo a whirly bird. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Helicopters are called whirlybirds, they fly like birds due to the whiling blades. So the roof vents whirl as well.

Also, I believe they are called whirly birds for when birds occasionally land on them. especially crows and pigeons. don't quote me on that. Also a common term for helicopters.
