Nibs, these are pretty good groups, for an old rifle, old shooter, and old eyes, I know the feeling, I had to replace all my peep sights with optics..........

Nibs you have the finest collection of 22 rifles and vintage scopes. Boomstick779 was the one who told me about your channel back in the day. I really miss his channel.

Very nice! I also have a Winchester 75 made in 1941, but it is not, I believe, a military trainer. It also has a scope mounted. I do not have the original iron sights, but I would love to find a set to put on it someday.

Most 75’s were not military trainers but are still great rifles.

When you measure your groups do you set the calipers average, peak to peak, or RMS?

Great video!! You know...I've got two model 52's and frankly there isn't a finer rifle made...but I love my 75 too and find myself reaching for it time and again when going to the range. No, it's not as precision made as a 52 but it truly is a pleasure to shoot. A very, very fine rifle.....Mine dates from 1948 and shoots like it was made yesterday. Thanks again for posting ...loads of fun to watch!!

@@WalnutandSteel Hey. I have a minty "B" model made around 1940 all stock and beyond a pleasure to shoot. Then I've got a killer time capsule A model made around 1936/1937....this rifle has a Hublik bull barrel...it was used in competition and is mentioned in the ( I forget which month) issue of a 1937 American Rifleman magazine....I have his hard case for it and his range box just as he kept it in the late 1930's/early 1940's...really something to see. I can send you some photos if you like. It's truly a Rolls Royce of a rifle....hard to describe how smooth it is. Thanks for asking....these old .22's are some of the finest utilitarian firearms ever made.

@@WalnutandSteel I have a 52 pre A speedlock made around 1934 if I remember. I bought it at an auction and it was advertised as "missing parts, poor condition". I got it for cheap enough that I figured I could replace any missing parts and it would still be worth it (barring the barrel being shot out). The stock is ugly and a chunk of wood is missing by the bolt. Well, the only part missing that I could tell is the mag release button (which a push with a screwdriver works just fine). It has the ladder rear sight and lyman peep sight in the front. Wow does it shoot!! I hit a golf ball at 75 yards the first outing with it. Now I use it as my "sleeper" when friends go to the range with their tricked out volquartsens or other high end guns. BTW, I paid less than it would cost to buy a Ruger 10/22. Love the old winchester .22s
