I am old so my make up memories go back a long way. My mom was born in 1921... she would have loved you. Her go too makeup was Airspun, scarlet colored lipstick and “rouge”. I can still remember dressing table and the smell of Shalimar by Guerlain. Thank you for the lovely memories. ❤

The finished look is so soft and beautiful 😍. Hollywood back then seemed so dreamy, but when I heard the life story of Rita Hayworth, dear lord it’s like a literal horror story. So so unbelievably disturbing and sad. 😔

Putting powder over everything, including the eyeshadow, gave the makeup such a beautiful, diffused look! Well done <3

When I first saw Cover Girl as a young gay boy,(in 1980) that scene did it for me! I was done, I was ruined , destroyed. For me that was how make-up HAD to be done. The first time seeing how 'baked' was done without knowing the term. You did a magnificent job my dear Erin. Brava for bringing this clip some recognition! XO

I can't be the only person who prefers the older makeup. They have the most interesting ways of applying and they always turn out really pretty! I really like the cupids bow lips, I for some reason adore them--!

Seriously, if you've got sweat monster skin like I do, this method is by far the most comfortable and long-lasting way to do it. I think using all cream and then all powder makes it much easier to fix mistakes and control coverage!

You are incredible. I'm a single mom, and I've always loved beauty and makeup. I used to never leave the house without it. But my mom is in hospice with liver cancer and I'm raising my 10 yr old son by myself. He is lovely but is diagnosed with Autism so it can be hard. I feel a little like my younger self, and get great comfort from watching your videos. Especially during this horrible time in my life. Thank you for that! My beautiful mother went to beauty school and always looked stunning! She taught me everything I know and she always let me try anything once when it came to beauty! Love you mom!

This may seem silly to some, but im terminally ill. So I have a lot of anxiety, worry about the obvious, over financial issues, family, fear and stress. I watch your videos and they always help calm my nerves. The techniques from years past are so interesting, along with all the old makeup products you have. So I really appreciate your videos and wish you all the best in years to come. 🥰

As a country girl ( who's almost 40)( also a cosmetologist) , I wear only mascara. Never any makeup beyond that, ever. And I'm obsessed with your channel!! You have beauty and style in any shade makeup or hair. I really enjoy the historical references!! They had real beauty. 🙂
