1946 Chevrolet Pickup - Nicely Restored Original

I thought you'd like a look at this beautifully restored 1946 Chevy pick-up. It looks great all the way around. The two-tone paint is slick, the chrome is smooth, the interior looks like new, and the bed floor has been completely redone. This truck doesn't need anything. When in college in 1969, I met a guy who had one and told him how my dad had one, and that I had rolled it when I was in the 3rd grade driving it around the farm. After telling him the story, he suggested that I might like to buy it since I had a story like that. He wanted $300 dollars for it but I had no money. He said he would wait to sell it to me if I wanted to get a student loan for college, thus having the funds for it. It's one of the few things I didn't sell off through the years and I still have it. Shifting it takes a bit of patience and talent and the doors rattle like crazy on graveled roads but I can't tell you how much I love it. A boy will always love the rig he learned to drive in. RIP dad, I wish I could take you for a ride in mine after wrecking yours.

I got to drive one of these when the truck I was driving, a 39 International lost its brakes. I was delivering for a Nursery after school. The Chevy drove like a sports car in comparison.I still have the memory of driving that sweet truck making deliveries. That was 70 yrs ago.
