It is very nice to hear the story of partition of India in 1947 from the mouth of an old lady who was around 15 years old from Sialkot. My family was also refugee family from Lahore but my mother was in her 30s & we we were a family of six brothers & one sister. We first escaped to Jammu after settling there for ten months were told by Indian Govt we could not settle there as we were not born there. We were made refugees agin & we with many millions walked from Jammu to Pathankot for ten days without any arrangemnent by Givt for food & water where prople took train to Delhi to start life from scratch again. This was the cruely we faced in the hands of our politicians who forced us to abandon not only our homes & on ands but culture & history of tge Indus Valley, the civilization to which we belonged.
