In 1951, my family bought a brand new '51 Ford (Blue) Coupe or Sedan, (essentially the same car) for $1,650! It only lasted until late 1959 or early '60 & was 'junked', even though the body wasn't damaged! Mechanical problems!

Should have put in a 289 or even a 260 V8. Probably cheaper than a whole new car.
