It's a blast from the past - the return of carhop service at drive-in diners. With so many dining rooms closed across the United States, restaurants are bringing back this classic slice of Americana. Many people have never experienced carhop service, since it went out of style back in the 1960s. But by having food brought to your car, you can stay safe and feel like you went to a restaurant without ever having to go inside. #InsideEdition

This is admittedly somewhat if not completely off the topic of this video, but the return of carhop service to drive-in diners would be a potential raging rapid of a river of income for these diners. If they were to partner with Tesla and other third-party EV charging networks to install DC fast charging stalls, those pulling up in their Teslas or other EVs could charge while eating in their cars or charge wirelessly while they wait for their food if they were to order and promptly leave once they get their food. Also, the covered canopies would supply solar power to an onsite Tesla Megapack installation so the chargers could run off of that while the customers could charge their devices off the built-in USB power in their vehicles while their cars charge.
