This is what weddings were like when I was a young woman (1970s) as well. Far more about the couple, the vows, and keeping everything in budget (think church basements for the reception). The brides were beautiful and modest. Photos and the announcement were in the local papers. NO DRAMA!!! Thank you so much for sharing this.

Omg the bridesmaids dresses in the first wedding are adult versions of my first communion dress from the same era. The wedding reminds me of my sister's in which I was flower girl wearing my communion dress.
