The dashboard had the beautiful gauges with the reflective numbers that would glow after the lights were turned off. The years have taken some toll on your car, but I absolutely love it. 😎👍 So many fun memories of Hudsons my Dad had when we were growing up. Merry Christmas & enjoy your new toy !

@dalehinshaw3764- Yeah, my dad had a black one too. He had had a Terraplane years before he was ever anybody’s dad, and he was a Hudson fanatic after that. He really loved that Pacemaker, and he was unhappy when it started to show its age and he had to replace it in ‘54. But he consoled himself by replacing it with a ‘54 Hornet Special. It was kind of funny, the symbol on the periodic table for my dad’s foot was Pb. He had 2 speeds; Full Stop and Full Speed. Anything in between was transitional. 😊 The Pacemaker had the 232 cid, with 3 on the tree, the Hornet had the 308, but he had gotten it with the GM Hydramatic so my mom could drive it; the stick shift gave her fits. Dad always said that Pacemaker was quicker off the line, and he could slip the clutch and burn rubber, which the Hornet couldn’t do, with the Hydramatic. Of course power braking was out of the question with those transmissions. Boy, this evokes memories, Big time!😁
