1951 TULA Arsenal, Russian SKS. What a find!!!

Story in the video about the finding. Came home and did some more research and found that I did indeed get an amazing deal on this one! All matching numbers and in outstanding condition!!! And mad credit to my AMAZING WIFE for making this one come home with us today!!!

I just got an SKS, it's a Norinco. I was taking a coworker home and he said, "You like guns, right? I have an old wooden one, an SKS, if you want it." I said I would take a look. It was rusted completely shut! The stocks finish looked bad, and nothing worked. I gave him $100 for it and cleaned it, turned out to be a real diamond; shiny bore, all matching including stock (which had ZERO damage,) and it functions flawlessly.

I have one also! 1950 Tula! Now, yours is nice but mines prettier lol. It’s a reddish Arctic birch color, all matching serial numbers also. Paid $500 around 2014.

canadian tire used to sell these for $230 up to a few years ago...i paid $20 extra for a laminated stock version 52 tula...the down side is that canadian ones are modified to only hold 5 cartridges...but you can still push in 10 if you unlatch the mag and hold it while loading/shooting

Tula is the manufacturer (they make ammo as well), the manufacturer date will be stamped below the star symbol with an arrow, and there are about 8x or 9x parts that will all be stamped with I.D. numbers. I encourage you to watch videos on "You Tube University" of how to disassemble/reassemble/clean it and all...great grab & how nice of your wife! Ha, ha...welcome to the SKS Club!

I have 1950 Tula SKS being shipped to me. If yours has a square with a diagonal line on it (usually between the Star and the Date stamp) it has been Arsonal refinished. Mine apparently has been, because all numbers match except the stock. It has been force-matched at the Arsonal. 😎✌️

Nice rifle just picked one up two mod get them while you can they’re just going up and up and up go on Google and look up SKS pistols it’s a little bit of work but it can be done it looks really cool stockpile your ammo and look into getting in to re-loading making a custom load for the SKS was fun you can buy surplus ammo for components and tear them down and make them better just an idea save your rifle from Corrosive ammo

I also have a 1951 Russian Tula SKS. matching numbers, but my bolt is in white. They are fun. You wouldn't believe how cheap they are in Canada. Mine has a new barrel, and all the parts look like new when you strip it down to clean it. It cost me $200.00 cdn But the huge surplus of stock is now gone, and prices are increasing fast up here. Down south in the USA I am guessing the cost will also increase a lot very soon.

I do not understand who these people are that show up to gun videos and down vote it. What did you not like about this video? About 6 months ago, Russian SKS rifles were around $500-550. Since then they have flown up to around $700. I broke down and ordered one today before they make it to $1000 in another year or so.(People laughed at me when I said the SVT40 would be a $1000 gun 10-12 years ago.. Now they are $1500+ Same will happen to the SKS.

@@thegravelpit850 Agreed! Russian Weapons are something else, some designs run poorly while some run very well. (Mosin Nagant, SVT-40, SKS, AK-47) are some of the best Soviet Made wepaons. ☭

@@andreyfendich as someone who is a huge mosin fan and I own several... mauser is better. I've had FN, DWM, Czech, Ankara and for mosins I've had izhmash, Westinghouse, and hungarian. It's not the build quality it's the design having the bolt body be 2 pieces was a horrible idea
