My dad making around so I could video tape the DC pulling a 4-14's Case plow. She's a power house of a tractor for its size.

Case made the most amazing tractors of their time.

The DC made it look too easy. You're right about them being a real power house of a tractor.

It's just playing with that plow ! He's going pretty deep too but it's not bothering her none . Nice video

My Grandpa pulled us out of a snowbank with one just like that. Miss him and Grandma so much.

Handles it pretty well. I would have guessed that was third gear. Looked faster than second but its been a while since I drove one.

It would be lucky to pull a 2-14 in our area! Your soils is beautiful, not that old ugly clay we have.

nice DC, I have an SC, I would like to see it pull a three bottom plow, does your DC have stock sleeves and pistons??
@gordoncrook75075 жыл бұрын
The SC is a smaller tractor hardly fair to compare we had a DC4 great tractor but we were told no match for the D John Deere even with only 2 cylinders Gordon Exmouth UK

Same here, been working on mine off and on for about a year now and she's runnin like a top, just two tires away from turnin dirt

Hi Jeff. No this DC has 4" pistons and high compression head. Depending on your soil your SC might handle a 3 bottom with 14" moldboards but I'd stay with a 2 bottom with 16" moldboards. I think you and your SC will enjoy it more. 🙂

I don't remember it but Dad had a DC, '48 model I think, that he pulled a 3-bottom plow with. What's the difference with a DC-4? Thanks!

The DC4 has a wide front that's not adjustable. More of a standard tread tractor but a narrow front can be put on for row crop work.

Is that Tractor stock? Or is that ground stupid easy to plow? Does it have the high compression pistons? A DC is not supposed to do that. Also are those "Eagle Bottom" shares?

Hi Glen. It only took me a year to reply. Lol It's a little of both. It has the high compression head and 4" pistons that really set it apart and this is Peat ground and when dry (which is rare) is like plowing powder. Very easy. The plow bottoms are EX bottoms if I'm remembering correctly.
