In this episode of Iron City garage work has begun on the 1952 Ford F1. This truck is originally out of California, but was purchased out of New Mexico. Yeah that’s a big joke right? These young guys buying these vehicles think they’re getting a great deal. Dude is laughing all the way to the bank. I bet he didn’t pay more than $1,500 for that truck probably put in maybe a couple hundred dollars and no more than five hundred dollars to get it running.

I do not believe that your prices are out of line especially when you figure in your costs from the purchase of the vehicle, the transportation costs, the costs of getting the vehicle into shape and to a point that most of the vehicles you get, can actually run and drive. This gives a lot of people a starting point when they acquire these vehicles. It is a good marketing strategy and there is other You Tube channels that do the same thing.

not that it matters now - the Truck must be long gone...those "weird looking Taillights.." are '52 Mercury M1 truck version, as the other commenter mentioned, used on earlier 40s Mercury passenger cars.. very rare. And as to your pricing - if it sells, it ain't too high.

Seem like this truck belonged to a Black student in California around the Civil Rights time. My dad also had a truck like this. Got drunk and ran it into a tree. Hahaha! Good truck.

I don't live in the suburbs, lol. I'm in a rural area and have a huge backyard and a small, but capable garage and no one cares what I park. So yeah, I'll keep on looking till I find something fairly locally. Rural Southern Indiana is full of stuff like this. I'll watch though, lol.

51 was the last year for the flathead six. The hood emblem on the front and the upper valence are 52. Radiator with double upper outlets looks to be for a flathead V8. Still a cool truck. Not trying to pick it apart. Definitely a story behind it. Great video.

Generally, 47:14 they have a pin hole in them that you can put a paperclip through and hold the brush back, thus allowing you to put the armature in. Then you pull the paperclips out and the brushes ride on the armature.

My dad used to have one of those trucks with that same motor in it and he went to the sawmill and got a load of firewood and put on it and it wouldn't pull itself back up the big hill coming out from the sawmill and he had to unload the wood and drive the truck out empty

I had a 77 Ford F100 with a 300 straight 6.The V8 just above it was a 302. I was told the 6 had more torque than the 8. I loved that truck and drove it almost 200K miles and wish I had it back in the same shape it was when I traded it off.
