I have one identical, Edward Turner the designer of the Triumph Twin engine always maintained the 500 Twin engine was the best (The speed Twin) better balanced than the 650 twins.

It should do 100mph hence the 100 in the model name 98mph in reality. Back in the day it was a pukka super sports bike yesteryear's BMW s1000rr.
