As a 54 year old collector that got lots of Godzilla figures from Japan 25 years ago, I had a Banpresto figure that also was released in the brown color of the '54 suit. At the time, it was simply explained that since they were using monochrome film for the movie, the color of the suit wasn't relevant so long as it would hold detail when photographed with the rubber supplied for the suit being an arbitrary brown.

54's color reminds me of meatloaf and gravy for some reason. Oh dear god you have so many variants?!?!?! I'm shocked you dont have that weird set of his forms where they have a carved wood paint look and detail to them...............
