i see an updated distributor. when i lived in california 20 yrs ago i saw a lot of this model still on the road and they were not a ton of money, i should have bought one although i did buy an 85 gmc 1500, kinda the same motor, straight 6 w/4 speed.

Depends on what part of "the middle of the dash" he meant.😁 He could be referring to the ashtray. Or, if he truly meant the actual center, where the vertical lines appear to be two colors, if the truck had a factory radio (which it doesn't), it was where the speaker would have been (or that's always been my understanding).😎
