There something significantly wrong with our education and educational system at large! My goodness, where did we go wrong! This was what, some good 79 years ago and Ghanaian students at 17 were so articulate and aware. Their thought process was superb and they had such command of the English language, correct pronunciation and sentence structure. I’m just amazed!!

The honesty of these students is always astonishing, and the discourse is so telling of the attitudes at the time. The argument of fear put forth by the Ghanaian and Australian students was very insightful, as was the Ghanaians thoughts about every topic especially on the independance of his country, because what he lays out is exactly what the british, french, americans etc are afraid of. This was a time for oppurtunity for Africa to become independant and build from the fruits of their land and labor, yet in many cases, to differing degrees the exploitation by colonial and corrupted powers continued. That is why the americans and others don't talk or teach about Africa because if they did people would know what happens and Buisnesses/Government don't like that. Fear continues to blind us from possibility and our denial of fear as by the south african stops us from realizing there's nothing to be afraid of.

@@napoleonokugbe3110 I don’t think that you being African changes my opinion or changes anything for that matter. I understand that she is only perpetuating what she’s knows. My comment however specifically is commenting on when the guys said to her “you are afraid” and you could clearly that she heard herself but just kept on; therefore it seemed like denial. I understand the mess her ancestors put her in. So many are in the fall out of their predecessors.

Everyone’s rightfully in love with the Ghanan dude. But I love how the Aussie bloke came on American TV and directly challenged the concept of the American dream by saying America doesn’t even have equal opportunity for their children because schools are run by communities and not the state, and not all communities are equal, so not all schools are equal, so wealthy families who live in wealthy areas will have better education for their children. Then when the Ghanan dude started talking about home, he played wingman and asked questions so that the convo stayed on what the Ghanan dude wanted to talk about, even though he clearly came there prepped for a long talk about schooling.

This whole series have made me realize that this current generation is in deep problem. The era of technology and social media is doing more harm than good. See what's happening out there, young adults who have a lot of potentials loose interest in their studies. They would prefer to be a TikTok legend than to be a Scholar. See we need to do better, just look at these teenagers dishing out wisdom like this eh. In this 21st century, you hardly ever get to see a lot of teenagers who are highly knowledgeable about history, culture, ethnicity, etc #Readers are Leaders indeed.
