Really nice car. The music sounds like Lawrence Welk playing rock and roll (irritating).

Interesting whoever restored left put the rear ashtray. I wonder if the front pull out worked.

Wow a Cast Ion Head less head gasket problems then the twin H, with Aluminum Head.

The Hudson 308 Hornet engine aluminum heads were far more likely to blow a head gasket than the cast iron ones.

And this is a 262 c.i. head from a Hudson Wasp or earlier stepdown. It increases the compression over the 308 head.It has a smaller surface above the pistons as the 262 is smaller bore.

@@WAL_DC-6B Most of the ones here in coastal California ruined the Aluminum heads by corrosion because they did not run antifreese as it it does not get cold enough to need it .

Likely the final year before Hudson fell to AMC.

Hudson didn't fall to AMC. Instead, American Motors Corp. (AMC) was created by the merger of the Hudson Motor Car Co. and the Nash-Kelvinator Corp in April 1954. But, yes, 1954 was indeed the last year of the "stepdown" or as some would say, true Hudsons as AMC built Hudsons (1955-'57) were based on a Nash body.
