Hey thanks Ricky that's really cool to hear. No body wanted the old 55 around my parts but I knew I could get it back on the road. Tried my best to build it like the old boys did back in the day Gasser style. She's just a good ole street car. Lot of people dig it and I'm proud to have it. @IronheadGarage I agree with that. My father use to horse trade alot back in his day to restore the old 50s and put them back on the road. Last one he fixed up was my uncles 55 stepside truck. It really was nice. I got to ride in it a few times before he passed. His son sold it off. I was really hurt by that I tried to get my cousin to sell it to me. But he absolutely would not do it. He got alot less for it than I was offering him. What a shame. I heard the guy that bought it parted it out and scrapped the rest. What a shame. Maybe one day I can afford to find one and restore it to honor my father's memory. I'm getting older and probably will never get the chance. But I'm glad to see you completing this project hopefully you pick a awesome color scheme for it. I'm definitely going to keep watching this one unfold.

That's sad to hear about the 55 step side to bad he didn't sell it to you I bet you would still have it. Poor old truck. Keep looking they are still out there but getting hard to find. I have a 55 GMC step side that I've been working on its own my channel too. They sure did build great stuff back in the 50s. I sure dig the old rides. I need to get back working on it soon. The 55 Gasser I'll probably leave the old patina on it not sure if I'll ever paint it. I've had a few hotrod's with very nice paint and they are stressful to have. The 55 it doesn't care if you go down a gravel road or it someone's leaning on it lol. I do really enjoy driving and not having to worry about the paint. But you just never know one day I just might paint it but would be the old 60s style paint job. Thanks for sharing the story about that 55👍🏻

Right! Got to love the 55s. I got lucky getting mine she was a old Rust bucket no one else wanted I knew I could bring her back to life again with a bunch of work. Very cool man! I'm getting my 55 close to roadworthy as well, engine is in, suspension done...I'm just waiting on my Transmission guy, he is building a 350 turbo for me. I built my 55 to look like a weathered Hot Rod from the 60's. I have a sign painter doing some artwork on the doors next week.

Thanks! Appreciate it. Yeah she's not to loud in side. But out side that's a different story. I do have cutouts on it but I usually keep them closed up. I did drive her around one weekend with open headers but she was loud and I don't think the sheriff like it much lol
