I’m almost there with my 58 Apache truck. It’s drivable but thinking of putting in an automatic transmission, 3 on the tree is hell in traffic.

Love the video. I'm working on a 56 and really like the stance and wheels. I am also not tubbed. Is your rear axle narrowed it looks like a wide wheel.

I have the same exact truck sitting in my garage. If you don’t mind me asking what’s the estimate cost you spent for the whole restoration? Ty.

Which wiring harness did you get? I’m looking at brothers truck parts classic wiring update for my 59 gmc.

I love this truck! I had the slamvan on gta5 that exact color! I'm building a 56 shortbed. I need info on that steering column you have in the truck. And part number on wiring harness?

@@TaylorSmithAutomotiveChannel Awesome, one of my clients and good friends are located in Sagle, Idaho. If you will, please email me at media@averagejoecustoms.com and tell me more about your build. A friend and I are coming out with a new magazine and are looking for builds that the owner has done as much work as possible. Let me know if that is cool ok.

Hey Taylor, I am building a 56 Chevy truck also, How bad was your tires rubbing the inter fenders that you had to adjust the torsion bars? Mine is bottoming out and rubbing. Any pointers is appreciated. My ride height looks about the same as yours, But I am running a LS 5.3
@TaylorSmithAutomotiveChannel5 жыл бұрын
My truck was actually rubbing on the outer fender lips. The reason for that was because I had adapters that spaced the wheels out about 1 inch since it had the 5x4.5 dodge pattern from the Volare setup and I needed the 5x4.75 pattern for my wheels. I would recommend tightening your torsion bars little by little until you can get it to stop bottoming out. You may be able to get the wheels to stop rubbing if you add a quarter inch spacer just to get them away from the inner fenders. My iron headed 327 that was in this truck probably weighed more than your 5.3, so I don't think the engine weight is the issue.

Hello Taylor, Thank you for the response. I will check your recommendations to see if that fixes my problem. I love the way your truck turned out
