The 291 is one of the best kept secrets of Hemi lore. I stuffed one of these in a factory five hotrod. Roller cam with a wide LSA and it pulls hard on an autocross course. 11:1 compression, Aluminum flywheel, and a TKO600 5 speed. Eldebrock AVS2 on the factory manifold too!

My dad sold this exact motor about 5 years ago. I would swear this had to be it! It is not, but at least I know of 2 55 fireflies 291’s going into 30’s hot rods. Awesome find

It's going in a 1932 ford 2dr. Sedan. I am Going to use a t5 trans and 8'' rear. I also have a 6/71 supercharger for the hemi.

Can you guys help me on my 291. Want to fire it up on pallet. Still has the 6 volt coil points condenser. I am using 12 volt batt to turn it over. Can i just hook up a 12 volt coil to the original points and condenser? john in mt
