I thought you might like a look at this very cool 1956 Cadillac Coupe De Ville. It's powered by the original 365 V8, kicking out a factory rated 285 HP. Very nice car. It is the golden decade of the American automotive industry and especially of Cadillac. One comment: if the engine is the original, it should be a V8 of 331 cubic inches and 285 H.P. The engine of 365 cubic inches appeared in 1957, with 300 H.P

If I could foretell The Future! My first car was a 1955 Ford Ranch wagon.. Parked In The Lot [Vacant] Next to The Ford Was a was a1955 Cad Flower car ,for the same price as the Ford. $150. The CaD Flower car was a 55Cad sedan but a "Pickup Truck" Like A Ranchero, or a Chevy El Camino Stainless Lined bed .. The Flower Car Showed the Casket During a Funeral Profession . This was a Solid Car ..But I chose the Ford.... It Lasted 1 yr then scrap...

I've seen a Cadillac flower car like that before. I'm sure the Cadillac would have lasted longer, but I can see why you might have felt it was an odd choice though.
