I too have a 56 F-100 project going on. Thank the lord I didn't have to go thru all the work you have done. Excellent work I must say. You have saved a otherwise goner. Talent and patience is what you are blessed with! Congrats

my dad had one of those in 1969 when I was a kid. It really brought back memories. His had a flat head in it. He finally sold it because he said it got terrible gas mileage and bought a 70 chevy pickup that got a little bit better but not a lot. Eventually he started buying rice burners because he loved to save money he hated giving it away to the oil companies. When he got old he went back to full size ford pick ups and paid for the fuel but they get not too bad of mileage. I was like dad why did you buy a full size truck he said I like the ride better Im old. He was ab big guy anyway and his head almost hit the roof of the little rice burners. LOL You did a fantastic job replacing all that rusted out metal.

I thought my 56 cab was rough, it is pristine compared to what you started with, great job with keeping all that sheet metal squared up during repair. Nice build. The original color I found under the paint on mine was meadow green.

There was no profit motive here--this was a personal challenge, a labor of love. Wow! I'm impressed with the amount of hand fabricated parts. This thing is now far superior to the original, more weather resistant, etc. I'm okay with the modern looking mirrors, the stockers were horrible after all, same with the rear mounted fuel tank--improvements that make sense to me. Congratulations, man.

You made a few mods but they didn't mess with the original beauty of the truck to much, so overall I will have to give you a 9 out of ten, had you not changed the headlights it would have been a 10, my opinion only. I was very impressed with under-seat storage to mention 1, but there were several things you did that made it better than new. Congratulations on a beautiful resto . What engine was that?

how is it that this guy doe,s not have a show on the Discovery Channel.? this truck imo. is way better than any thing that GMG ever thought about building. and he put a Ford in a Ford. not some waste of time ls. the color looks really close to a 96 Ford F-150 that i had years ago. it was called Pacific Green. a factory Ford color. only two things that i would change the mirrors and put my name on the title.
@AwesomeGames567 жыл бұрын
Probably the only reason he doesn’t have a show is because builds like this take a lot of time, and time in the TV industry is money. They’d rather have a ton of shortcuts taken than have it done right as long as it looks good and makes them money. I agree with the mirrors too.

I'm not sure what everyone is referring to. This was a hack job. Low scores across the board for fit and finish. Lumpy bumpy body work. Orange peel paint throughout. And some really ,really poor upholstery. And that shar-pei carpet?! I don't generally get so negative on a review...but this was a waste of time and energy.
