@@tom7601 I had a good buddy who had gotten blown up on the USS Midway CV-41. A below decks fire started in a dry good store room and a steam leak from the catapult. He open the hatch and it blew him across the space and he was on fire. A chief was killed and a second class. My friend was so lucky he lived. Ship board fires were no BS!

Forrest Fire came from two sources.The Big Fire John started with his aircraft and an arsonist in Norfolk who kept setting fires and was finally caught in the late seventies early eighties.
