Another fantastic find! I love tri 5 Chevy's but the cool factor and exclusivity of this rare car sure adds another dimension to that incredible time in automotive design. I owned a 1957 Ford Skyliner Retractable Hardtop while I was a Sophomore in High School in 1971 and sold it 14 years later in 1985. It had a custom installed rebuilt 390 Cubic Inch Ford Engine, Electric Fuel Pump, 4 Barrel Holly Carburetor, 4 Speed Transmission, American Mag 5 Spoke Wheels, Goodyear Polyglass Tires, Black Side Exhaust Pipes, Painted White with Black Interior.

My brother in law's first car was a '57 Ford so he bought a '57 like this several months ago, a very nice super straight, no rust Arizona car, like new interior and underneath with nice paint, not show quality but good and who needs a supercharger with a '69- 428 Cobra Jet under the hood!

My 57 Ford 2-door was black but instead of Chrome it had gold and the interior was black and gold then I had a 312 board 60 over I put in the cam ported polished and relieved it had Mickey Thompson crate rods and pissed and kit and I sure had fun with that car!

Hay this is the first time Ive ever seen a 4 speed trans with an oil pan on it!! Then he gets inside the car and it looks like a 4 speed shifter. Two different cars or what's going on?

Does it have a 200 gallon tank under the back seat? This baby looks like the cars in the movie "Thunder Road" with the 'revenoors' chasing the bootleggers. Robert Mitchum not only starred in it but wrote and produced the movie....great old flick.

Well, thanks: super nice used Car…..one of my Dream Cars in High School, etc.(* admittedly, I am a hard-CORE OEM, with **common -sense replacement, .e,g., DUAL MASTER , et al)…..a few of my Car nut Friends had Base/ Fairl@nes: really hard to not use/ le@v3 in DaY Two improvements:: kind of Remembering a few OF the “”real F CODES CUSTOM/Thunderbird/ were around my NORTHERN INDIANA areas Growing up.

This doesn't look like a Fairlane to me. I would say it is a custom line 300. Amazing how some of these people selling these cars, don't even know what they really are !
