The scene where Lois and Jimmy are flying is from episode 104, called " All that glitters". In it Lois and Jimmy dream that they have Superman's powers and arrest the villains them selves. After they wake up, Clark Kent comes by. Jimmy tells him all about the dream , then asks Kent " Gosh, Mr. Kent, don't you wish you were like Superman?", and Clark states " Don't we all, Jimmy, don't we all", This was the last episode of the series # 104.

RIGHT!!!! the Clark Kent that Christopher Reeve played was a Moron!
@garylobo3483 жыл бұрын
@@thomasharrison3126 He was hardly a moron. Christopher played him as he was portrayed in the comics. It was George who changed him from the comic book portrayal to a much more confident Clark. But i thought Christopher Reeve's Clark Kent was funny, endearing and you couldn't wait for him to confront that tough guy one final time in the diner. And he stayed humble the entire time he got his revenge. They were both fantastic, some 30 years apart.

Yes, the opening theme is one of those iconic compositions that is recognizable in the very first bar. I've never been able to find an orchestral performance of it, just the inferior movie composition by Williams. I did read that there is no written score anymore.

What really put George Reeves in a class by himself is his playing Clark Kent as a regular guy, one you'd like to hang out and shoot pool with. His Kent was normal and understated enough that no one would connect him to Superman, and he didn't need to over compensate with the bumbling clod routine. Best of all, George had the vision, the presence of mind, and the acting chops to pull it off. He is missed to this day.

Kirk Alyn was the first choice for the TV show but he said Superman had ruined his career. He had been a serial star before. He did 2 Superman serials. He was muscular and trim waisted unlike Reeves that was tall but wore padding to appear muscular. Reeves was allergic to the rubber padding so he could only stay in the costume for about 30 minutes. His stunt doubles were all muscular and spent 12 hours a day in the costume with no padding.

I watched those episodes in the early 1960s. First live action portrayal I seen. And it was great for its time era. One thing I hated was the cape. Why did it hang low from the back of his neck? The comic books never had it that way. And the red swim trunks so large like senior men who began to wear their pants high.
