Smart move doing that outside - you’d be cleaning dust off stuff for years! Looking forward to watching your progress.

Your assistant knows what she is doing. I'm amazed how good the front fenders are usually the top and headlight bezel are the first things to go on these. I would have first tried some chemical paint remover on the pesky spots. However this vehicle is huge and you need at least 3 jugs full of paint remover minimum. What color is the vehicle going to be?

Going to attempt to get it back to as close to original as possible. Charcoal grey body, fins, trunk, and roof silver.

@@cudafry1967 Thank god no christine clone like cars. I think there are just too many of those already. I do think the original paint scheme is very neat. So looking forward to see more content on this vehicle.

Probably look pretty cool with striped sides and patina hood roof and trunk. Then clear coat the whole show. You can get a dent puller that welds it’s self to pull. Maybe some lead loading in the bad spots. Don’t paint it black. You can maybe do a faded lace roof. I’d do faded lace on truck and hood also. Get a artist involved. Maybe swirl polish fins.

That’s the kinda body work that was common in the 60s and after for decades. Only within the last 20 year or so have people been about buttwelding but even newer cars today are slapped together after an accident
@cudafry19677 ай бұрын
Makes sense, I remember when bodywork was just bondo, no rust removal, fixing dents, just how well you were with bondo.

@@cudafry1967 fiberglass was popular as well I knew people that absolutely loved it and still do. Some things I think are best left behind 😁
