I can’t Wait to see the full video on this. I have a grundig tv from 1957 that looks mostly the same and it works!

I just love the way 1950s console TVs look. If I had the space I'd pick one up in an instant but in the meantime I'll stay content with the my family's old 10" tabletop.

That's a nice set. Love that the cat plays innocent after pushing the cap on the floor. Would the VG91 really work though? If it still a system B set, then the audio IF carrier would be off by 1 MHz, and the audio would be in the video band. Not an easy task retuning this for system M, but probably doable. Addition: Very confused... Is it a 625 line set still?

All valid points. The story that was told to me was it was probably someone stationed in Germany who purchased the set and had it shipped back to the states back in 1958-1959. The plug that is attached to the set is an American plug so I'm not sure how modified the original owner had it done. It still is 220v with an American plug which confuses me. There's still a good amount of research I need to do about this and the schematic layout is VERY different than the Sams.

@@televisionforever You can get a cheap "M69" / "HDM69" modulator which can be configured for all the common worldwide analog systems. I was looking at getting one because it seems to be the only inexpensive way to get NTSC channels 5-13. They should also let you use a European market TV on either VHF or UHF without modification.
