OMG what an awesome looking car, the fifties most definitely had a decade of the most stylish chrome-laden cars on the road, the power was making its way from the beginning of the decade, to some of the most powerful engines ever, you'll never see anything like these cars ever again!!!

Looks almost like a plastic model car So beautiful! Love those red and white side pillar lights, and those extended rear fender skirts. The continental kit really sets this car apart. Great color, great chrome. The interior upholstery could be improved upon, but this is one beautiful car.

WOW!!! Check out the "side marker" lights on the roof pillar. And nothing's sez 50's like that pepto-bismol pink! One of the coolest cars from the 50's. Wish I had the 20 G to drive it home.😃👍

The ones with the 400-hp 430 Marauder engine were among the earliest factory muscle cars. Not many were made.

@Gene Simmons I don't recall ever seeing a '58 Super Marauder in person....then again, there aren't many to see! I have seen a few in magazines and one was for sale online a while back. I forget which auction site or classic dealer was showcasing it. That was one cool air cleaner topping the big MEL engine. ; )

What an absolutely, beautiful 1958 Merc. I am really, partial to the 1956 Cadillac 60 Special Fleetwood. But what a pretty 1958 Mercury you have, as all of your cars are. Must be hard to have to sell them. But I'm sure, that you don't have room, to kerp them all. I can't see well enough to drive anymore, but I may buy one of yours someday, even if I can only drive it, on my small farm. Thanks for the videos, of all of your beautiful cars.

The 59 Monterey had a much more attractive grill to my eye and more flowing wrap around type front and rear window and would have the potential for a time period show stopper. Perhaps a powder blue and frost white motif throughout.

My goodness those continental extensions actually hurt my eyes. Sort of pre runner to the mandated five mile per hour bumpers in 73. Otherwise might come in under the radar but that tacked on three foot tail treatment has me passing on this example. There was a car similar to this on twilight zone that this lady drove and kept picking up the same hitch hiking guy.
@curtcollett28932 жыл бұрын
The rear bumper also reminds me of the short lived water filled rubber bumpers of the 60's. Also funny to see the continental cover flipped up and the spare tire in the trunk.

No offence intended but it would help preserve the motor if you gave the oil a chance to circulate before you revved it. Also let the engine idle longer before switching off the ignition as you can get fuel wash in the cylinders which can seep last the piston rings and into the crankcase.
