George and your videos have really given me a lot of enjoyment watching your work in putting him back together. There are always others around, and some of the projects you have there do look exciting. Unfortunately I cannot support your channel how it deserves at the moment, but very much apricate what you have done for the land rover community.

I just see the video and a I really was very sad that you had to sell and say goodbye to George. it's a shame even if you have to sell it I have a Land 107 “and an 80” and I can't imagine what it would be like to have to dispose of them. I followed your videos and saw the affection you have with the Landys. I hope that soon you can enjoy a new project, regards from Brasil

Thanks Washington, at the end of the day they are just cars, I enjoy saving them and getting them to be restored. Life changes all the time...Steve, maybe you can share why you are moving to a smaller place and how you plan to keep your interests fulfilled? I must admit, I find it hard to understand why paradise is not good enough for you :)
@VintageRestorationsAustralia3 жыл бұрын
Ha, what I share on youtube is a small snippet of what I get up to, my interests are pretty broad and include my building and development work, boating, fishing, playing music, cooking, traveling, camping , outdoor pursuits... and a host of other stuff. Owning and caring for acres and a self reliance farm is essentially a part time job and after 17 years we want to explore other interests. We have a waterside block of land not far away and I am building another house on it and plan to retire in 3 years time to spend more time doing other stuff.

@VintageRestorationsAustralia3 жыл бұрын
Lucio, I decided the budget for restoration of the Station wagon was more than I could afford and I wanted it to be restored properly as it is the last RHD Series 1 ever made, so sadly I have sold it to a bloke that has the budget to do it right. There will be one more video of it though before it goes I hope.

Sad to see it go, but it looks like you chose a safe new home for it. Seems like Dorian is trying to own the whole production run of Series 1s at this point. He posted a while back that he'd bought the 107 wagon you'd pulled out as well
@VintageRestorationsAustralia3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Simon, he certainly is developing a good collection, yes he has purchased the 107sw and put a good budget against its restoration. Given the cars significance (last RHD series 1 built) it needs to be fully restored, that was beyond my budget so I was pleased to find a custodian that would get it done right.
