Nice, Way back when I owned a 1960 model. Identical to the one in the video, except mine had the long tandem seat. Awesome bike which I really enjoyed.

Erstaunlich, welche solide Fahrmaschinen BMW in einmaliger Qualität einst entwickelte. Man konnte von Ort zu Ort komfortabel reisen, mit angemessener Geschwindigkeit. Über 120 km/h wird das Fahren auf einem offenem Motorrad zum Stress. Wozu also? Die einstige Philosophie von BMW hat eigentlich bis heute Bestand !

The most beautiful BMW ever. These should be produced also today. I would buy one. Few developments could be accepted; Contanctless ignition, fuel injection instead of carburettor and perhaps disc brakes.

I've owned many bikes from different manufacturers that were smaller, larger, faster, etc etc but my 59 BMW R26 was hands down my favorite because of it's quality and pleasure to travel long distances.
