1. Rolls-Royce did not acquire James Young Ltd. 2. The instrument and switch layout is exactly the same as the standard steel, HJ Mulliner or Park Ward cars - only the design of the woodwork was different. 3. The firewall is not in “it’s natural pewter finish” - the colour is called “putty”. 4. “No expense spared and everything was done properly” is absolutely not true. I have known this car for forty years, and a previous owner in Bel-Air skimped and went for the cheapest reupholstering that he could find (he even had it running on cheap incorrectly-sized Pep Boys tyres!) incorrect leather, incorrect front centre armrest pulls, incorrect and flat pleats and bolsters, poorly done binding, etc, etc. James Young Ltd were renowned for their thickly padded pleats and bolsters with pronounced crowns, and this is evidenced in period photos for this and their other cars. This car will need to be completely retrimmed, and to James Young standards in correct Vaumol hide that will easily be $50,000+. 5. The carpet is cheap and incorrect. 6. The body coachlining has been incorrectly applied. 7. Yes, this car is one of two, but to the educated eye (the Pebble Beach 3rd place was really out of consideration for its rarity) the interior is very poorly and incorrectly done.

Thinking you wont get any change out of a $1M, I prefer the Mk111.

No it isn’t, it was always called a picnic table. I suppose you could write on it, but it’s a picnic table.
