My uncle had a brand new 62' T Bird when I was a kid. I got to ride in it in 1965 when we stayed with him in NY when we went to the NY Worlds Fair.

Gorgeous show car, Congratulations! My first car was a1959 Third. Bought it when I graduated from high school in 1966. I fell in love with Tbirds from watching 77 Sunset Strip. The private investigators drove them in the series! Edd Byrnes was cool on the show also.

A convertible, red, wires, leather, and a 430! Love it.

The 430 was a Lincoln engine. The normal engine would have been Ford's 352 engine that served as the first Police Interceptor Engine from 1958. I can only imagine the power of the 430 in the T-Bird versus a 4500 lbs Lincoln.

My Dad had a 59 Thunderbird, doubt it was a J code and not a ragtop. The car is THE BOMB.

Love it, but would rather have a hardtop and factory A/C. I had an even more rare 59 with a three speed manual transmission back in the 70s.

Beautiful car, if you don't want folks getting too close to it build a fence around it or leave it in the garage.

Imagine being stuck behind this guy, going on about the torque of the engine, he'd frustrate a skateboarder.
