I have a Squier Classic Vibe Esquire 60s Custom in black and the only mod was a neck pickup UNDER pickguard... I love this guitar!

Two-color sunburst Teles/Esquires of that era are exceptionally rare and really handsome. You just flat out don't see them and you didn't see them 40 years ago. They were all/95% cream/butterscotch. That's one beautiful guitar which will go for crazy money.

I have a '60 Custom Tele same finish but with a bigsby on it. It is an incredible guitar. Its just a few hundred higher than the serial on your Esquire.

What a guitar. Last year I bought a Squier Classic Vibe Esquire and it has the same pickup configuration as this one. One pickup is more than enough to get the job done. As Brandon says in his great overview, putting some overdrive on the "dark" circuit creates a really nice deep tone. And the circuit near the bridge gives it a twang that I don't think you can even quite get with a Tele.

Amazing what u can get out of one pickup , rose wood makes a Hugh difference in sound and great looking guitar, and Angela is a Plus😊. Jack looks like a Country man on bass. Brandon shredding woot woot nice G of the day😊

What about the Fender Jazzmaster that debuted in 1960. I gave a friend of mine $60 for a Airline double pickup guitar bought in 1959 at Montgomery Ward so that he could make a down payment on the Jazz master. I even got to do some licks on it. He used it as lead guitar player in the hottest teenage rock ‘n’ roll band in the Detroit metropolitan area I used the Airline as rhythm guitar player .I still have that Airline guitar. Am in the middle of restoring it. I have a little bit of a dilemma .Do I keep both pick ups or do I put new humbuckers on it ? Any suggestions?
