Great video from a great guy in the great north ! Scott, you are an artisan. I anxiously await every installment. The resurrection of the Fury has been as enjoyable to watch as was the Fraser. I appreciate the fact that creating these videos while working and sharing the process with all of us makes all this that much more difficult, so thank you for taking the time. The "Fury Man" looked like Tom McCahill. He thrash tested cars for Popular Mechanics back when I was a kid. My dad kept a subscription going for years and I eagerly awaited their arrival.

You gave me the confidence to fix all the dings in the aluminium and stainless trim on my ongoing 60 Bel Air rebuild myself; using a variety of toffee hammers, few scraps of steel and wood and one large ball peen hammer as an anvil. Never done any sort of metalwork before. They are all polished now and perfectly OK: Not concours, and I don't want that, but very good one yard away. Maybe I'll tackle a repair panel on the next rebuild now! So happy every time you post an episode. Thanks from Herefordshire!

A true CWM classic once again. Some very fine fabrication. There is A lot of value in learning to do a task without a factory full of tools. It totally reminds me of how I was brought up. My thoughts exactly. He's done an excellent job on the panel. A body shop couldn't have done it any better IMO. It really comes down to the person who's actually doing the work. After all a body shop is really the sum of the quality that the people who run the shop produce. You sir IMO have done a fine job of the '60 Fury. Be as good as new or possibly better. @@paulkirkland1535 Have a look at Trev's Blog (on KZbin) ... he's a pro, does it for a living AND as a pasttime for his own shit .... he does basicly nothing else, with basicly no other tools than Scott used to smack the Fury's bottom: a shrinking/stretching tool, an English wheel (which here would be a Canadian pneumatic hammer), some oddly shaped pieces to hold tight from behind and a hammer or two. It's a thing of knowledge, not of tooling. And of patience and perseverance. When it's 27 sub zero in the unheated part of the shop, You might develop quite a perseverance in the heated part I reckon 😂😂 ... and that recurrently each winter, of course 😂

As if all of the planning on the splicing was not in itself pretty daunting and incredibly concise, you then grab a hammer and start making theses complex pieces by hand. I now have the full sense of the project. Damn it turned out good!

Have been trying to master the "art" of welding and working with/on low crown panels for lots of years. Lots of that with my son (the welder). Just now beginning to understand the "magic" of shrinking and stretching metal and to "anticipate" how its going to react to "beating and heating". You and "Gibson63" have a way of making it look much easier than it turns out to be. Both you guys are far too modest about your skills. Glad to see you are in better health. Nicely done, Scott ! I, uh, couldn`t help but notice that the ...uh... `bench-mounted `... uh... `cockroach` disappeared around the same time as the carburetor top screws. After that sequence, I seemed to have entered a mind-altering state ( sans material influence ) which caused me to marvel at the progress depicted in the rest of video. Muy interesante, indeed ! Onward !

Shiiit work...(incidental music)..lmfao. I must tell you again how i like these videos, I can't wait for each installment to come out . What drew me to coldwarmotors was the original cold start videos. I drove a series of "beater" cars ..one of which I paid 50 dollars for , drove it a year and a half and then sold it again for 50 dollars . So I too developed the knack of the "cold start" out there in the driveway at dawn trying to get to work. I found that the basic trick was to get the automatic choke set correctly and not pump the pedal too much or the choke doesn't stay set right . The Fury is gonna be an awesome car. I like the fact that it is a v-8 ...thumbs up ...[grin]
