Seeing the chairlift go over the structure I remembered the sound it made. It's a few years before we went there but this is marvellous footage.

My parents took my sister and I every year between 1965 and the early seventy’s, I also remember those chair lifts and the surrounding countryside. One memory in particular was of a large building with a window display that was mesmerising to me as a child, I’m not sure, but I think there were some golden flamingos in there, another memory was of a statue of a giant man with a black beard who was standing on two huge blocks in the amusement park, I was absolutely terrified of him, since I was convinced he came to life at night and took all of the naughty children and put them in the two boxes he was standing on. 😱😂😂😂😂.
