1960's 16mm film "The Melroe Method" from the Melroe Company of Gwinner North Dakota showing off their new line of harrows and their combine windrow pick up attachments. Also shows some footage of the factory.

Fast foreword 60 years and the technology hasn’t changed much. An 80 foot McFarlane harrow doesn’t look a whole lot different. Love that Oliver 40 combine at the end.

So that solves how old the harrow is...The Melroe plant looks small compared to what it is today.

Such a great video on many fronts. Never seen a drag like that before. Looks handy. Nor have I seen a Massey with that style of dual wheels. It was exciting to see a Hyster Karry Krane loading frames onto a trailer. I have an older model of said crane. Very handy! The IH COE was the icing on the cake. Thanks for posting such a great video. Regards!!

Cool video, a lot more work to go from field to transport mode compared to today’s implements.

Wish we had that melroe spring tooth harrow here in New York state. We could have used it on river bottom soil stone free. All available back then was section drags. 24 foot was our biggest harrow before planting green peas, snap beans, sweet corn, spinach and other processing vegetables.

Must be around 54-56 as the wheels on the combine are green. Assuming they followed same pattern as the super series tractor
